Life drawing for beginners

Join us for the tutored life drawing course at Untitled Factory. We will be hosting a series of workshops throughout the year, focusing on the foundations of figure drawing. Collectively, the workshops provide the perfect introduction to life drawing. You will develop an understanding of body proportions, basic human anatomy as well as discovering how to use both light and shadow to create realistic 3D effects. We will also tackle the difficult task of drawing heads, hands, feet and the foreshortened figure. Each session will be centred around a different theme. The topics for each workshop are outlined below.

“Lust for Drawing” exhibition

You are invited to Lust for Drawing, an exhibition of the works of the Life Drawing Montmartre group. Join us for the exhibition preview on Wednesday 29 June, 7.00-9.00pm at Petit Theatre du Bonheur. All members and their guests are welcome! There will be free wine and nibbles available, but if you would like to bring your own bottle of wine, please feel free to do so.

Thank you for your participation and attendance at the first international figure drawing marathon in Paris. Your presence helped to make this event a great success. I hope the marathon served as a catalyst for many new ideas and connections. Please check out our Facebook page for pictures.

Exhibition preview – figure drawing marathon

Life Drawing Montmartre and Agnez Art Gallery are pleased to announce an exhibition featuring works created during the first international figure drawing marathon in Paris. We would like to invite you to join us for the exhibition preview on Saturday 30 April, from 7.00pm at the Untitled Factory, Paris. All artists and their guests are welcome. The vernissage is open to the public. The exhibition will be running until Sunday 1st May 2016.


You are warmly invited to take part in the first international figure drawing marathon in Paris, organised by Life Drawing Montmartre and Agnez Art Gallery. The event will be held at Untitled Factory on the last weekend of April 2016. During the event we will run numerous life drawing workshops with both nude and costumed models, female and male, with poses ranging from 2 min to 2 h. Following the marathon, we will host an exhibition featuring works created during the event. All works will be for sale. More info:

Montmartre café guide – call for participants

We are looking for contributors for a book entitled “An expat’s guide to Montmartre’s bars and cafes”.

The book is going to be both a print-on-demand paperback book and an e-book, featuring bars/cafes recommended by expat artists. Each contribution should include a description of the particular bar/café located in Montmartre, an illustration of the bar/café, as well as a short paragraph of information about the artist. Any profits made from the sale of the book/e-book will be split between all contributors.

Monthly drawing at Anticafé Beaubourg

You are warmly invited to participate in the upcoming themed drawing series at Anticafé Beaubourg. In 2016 we will be running monthly costumed drawing sessions every first Saturday of the month between 10.30am – 12:30pm. The drawing sessions are untutored.
